In their search for a new head coach after officially letting former head coach Jason Garrett go on Sunday, it appears the Dallas Cowboys made a phone call to Jeff Fisher, the former head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, it doesn’t look like Fisher is being seriously considered at the moment, but he was one of the people owner and general manager Jerry Jones did call, and is apparently well-respected by the organization.
A team source did confirm the Cowboys had a recent telephone conversation with former NFL coach Jeff Fisher, who took the Tennessee Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV and whose regular-season record is 173-165-1, with a 5-6 playoff record.
