The Tennessee Titans will finalize their initial 53-man roster by Tuesday afternoon. General manager Ran Carthon can then begin searching the waiver wire for back-end roster help. Nearly all released NFL players must clear waivers before joining a practice squad, giving competing teams an opportunity to claim players by adding them directly to their active roster.
Just an average of 20-25 get claimed on a yearly basis, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the Titans claimed one or two of those players. Carthon and head coach Brian Callahan continue to revamp a roster that still lacks depth at various positions.
