PHILADELPHIA - The story Friday night in Cincinnati could have been a number of things, ranging from the Temple defense's first-half shut out to the program's second consecutive conference victory. Instead, though, WR Isaiah Wright stole the spotlight behind his miraculous 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, a play that would earn him recognition as the American Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week. Up just six with the Bearcat offense coming off back-to-back TD drives, the sophomore wideout decided to take matters into his own hands, sprinting untouched for the Owls' first special teams score since 2015 (coincidentally, Jahad Thomas took a kickoff back 100 yards at the same venue two years ago).
