TAMPA, Fl.— Temple women's tennis dropped its first of two weekend matches against FIU Saturday afternoon. The Panthers swept the Owls with a final score of 4-0 and moved Temple to 9-9 overall.
Monet Stuckey-Willis and Dina Karina were the top doubles pair for the Owls and kicked things off with a match that did not finish. Alina Abdurakhimova and Anais Nussaume and Yana Khon and Mariana Bedon followed up with back-to-back drops to the Panthers.
Abdurakhimova played in the first singles position but was unable to top FIU's Lazaro.
