PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's tennis team ended the regular season on a seven-match winning streak by defeating City Six rival La Salle on Saturday afternoon, 7-0. The Owls moved to 12-4 overall on the season with the victory.
The Owl swept the doubles point, after Anais Nussaume and Yana Khon picked up a 6-0 win over Cecile Johnson and Asha Anderson at the third position and Alina Abdurakhimova and Minami Okajima took down Ashton Wentzel and Kathryn Thomas, 6-0 at the second flight.
In singles, Okajima grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kathryn Thomas at the fifth flight, while Dina Karina picked up a shutout straight-set victory over Anderson at the number four spot.
