PHILADELPHIA – After almost a week off the court, the Temple women's tennis team completed a strong performance as they defeated Quinnipiac, 5-2 on Saturday night.
"The women were a little slow in doubles but were able to bounce back in singles," said head coach Steve Mauro. "This was a good win for them today. They've been practicing really hard and I'm happy to see that it's all paying off on the court."
Quinnipiac jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point. The Owls' Minami Okajima and Mariana Bedon defeated the Bobcats' Adrian Young and Kelsi Oliphant, 6-3 at the third flight, but Sophia Dzulynsky and Sitilia Rencheli pulled out a 6-4 win over Yana Khon and Monet Stuckey-Willis, 6-4 at the second flight.
