PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer lost in heartbreak fashion on Tuesday night to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 1-0 in overtime. The game-winning goal came during the 99th minute of play.
Lehigh was ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic NSCAA NCAA Division I region coming into tonight's match. The Owls fall to 2-7 on the season as they finished conference play, while the Mountain Hawks stay unbeaten at 7-0-1.
The game was a deadlock through both the first and second halves as neither team was able to score a goal.
Nearing the end of the first overtime period, Lehigh's Clare Severe netted a ball past sophomore goalkeeper Jordan Nash.
