PHILADELPHIA— Temple women's soccer (2-4-3, 0-0 AAC) had a strong first half against Penn on Sunday night, but ultimately fell to its Philly foe, 2-1, behind two second half goals by the Quakers.
How it Happened
> The first strong look of the night came from the boot of sophomore Gabriela Johnson. She fired a left-footed strike from the top of the box in the 15th minute, but Penn's keeper was in place to make the save.
> The Owls got on the board first in the 34th minute. Sophomore Hailey Gutowski ripped the initial strike on goal, but Penn's keeper got a hand on it to deflect the attempt.
