SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Temple women's rowing team placed a program-best third as a team at the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at Lake Natoma.
Temple grabbed gold medals in both the third varsity four and third varsity eight races, while also finishing in third, fourth, and fifth places in the NCAA qualifying events (varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity four).
In the NCAA events, Temple took grabbed a bronze medal in the varsity eight, also taking fourth in the varsity four and fifth in the second varsity eight race. The varsity eight's third-place finish was the best for the Owls in the event at the American Athletic Conference Championships.
