PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's rowing team won three out of five races at the 2016 Kelly Cup, which serves as the unofficial city championships. Overall, every Temple boat finished in second place or higher on the day.
The Owls grabbed victories in the second varsity eight, second varsity four, and novice eight races. The second varsity eight won their race in a time of 6:39.9, outdistancing St. Joseph's (6:44.1), Drexel (6:44.6) and Villanova (7:07.3).
In the second varsity four event, Temple boats finished 1-2. The Owls' true second varsity four won the race in a time of 7:45.
