PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's rowing team saw every boat grab a medal, including a silver from the varsity eight and a gold from the second varsity four to highlight the 2017 Kerr Cup, hosted by Drexel University on the Schuylkill River.
Temple's varsity eight opened the day with a win in their heat, tallying a 7:17.47 to top Marist, Colgate, Army, and Robert Morris. In the finals, Temple was neck-in-neck with rival Drexel, ultimately taking second in 6:59.87, just 1.5 seconds off of Drexel's pace, while topping Fordham, Marist, Duquesne, and Lehigh.
The second varsity eight grabbed a bronze medal, opening the day with a second-place finish in their heat.
