PHILADELPHIA -- Despite a win in the first set, the Temple volleyball team dropped a home match to Villanova 3-1 on Sunday at McGonigle Hall. The Owls (1-8) grabbed the first set 25-21, but the Wildcats (7-2) closed out the match by winning the final three 25-21, 25-18, and 25-19.
Keys to the Match
> Temple was a totally different team after a fantastic first set that saw the Owls hit .265, holding Villanova to a .196 attack.
> The tables turned midway through the second, where a few points went the other way, and Temple was never able to recover.
