NEW ORLEANS – Playing without nine players on its two-deep chart including starting QB Anthony Russo, Temple (1-3, 1-3 AAC) was not able to must any offense in falling at Tulane (3-4, 1-4 AAC) 38-3 Saturday at Yulman Stadium. It marked the first time Temple had lost to Tulane since its first meeting in the 1938 Sugar Bowl.
Head coach Rod Carey rotated backup QBS Trad Beatty (11-18, 122 yds, 1 INT) and Re-al Mitchell (5-8. 23 yds, 7 rushes 37 yds) throughout the contest, but neither was able to effectively move the team downfield.
