HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Senior Trey Wren picked up where he left off, shooting a four-under 140 to lead the 14th Annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Monday. Wren's play helped Temple top the 19-team field by one stroke over Furman after the first 36-holes at the 6,913-yard, par-72, Wexford Plantation Course.
Recapping the Day
- Wren, who entered the day with a team-best 71.33 stroke average, shot a one-under 71 for his morning round and followed that with a three-under 69. He tied for the tournament high with nine birdies on the day and his eagle two on the 16th hole of his second round was one of only four eagles on the day.
