PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's track & field is set for its third straight meet at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. Hosted by New York University, the Gotham Cup is set to kick off today at 12:30 p.m. with the 3000 meter race. There will be 16 Owls hitting the track in 10 different events for today's meet.
New to this weekend's competition will be a distance medley relay, as well as one Owl competing in the shot put. Freshmen Alexis O'Shea, Aliya Sharp and Brigit Andersson, along with sophomore Katie Leisher, will be the first group of 2016 to participate in the distance medley relay.
