PHILADELPHIA - Three Temple student-athletes were named the 2020-21 American Athletic Conference Scholar Athletes of the Year for their respective sports, as announced by the league office Wednesday morning. Alanna Lally (Women's Indoor Track and Field), Lasse Grimmer (Men's At-Large) and Courtney Taylor (Women's Lacrosse) were each honored for their academic and athletic achievements.
The Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards are given to a student-athlete in each American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport based on academic credentials and athletic accolades and performances. To be eligible, student-athletes must have attained a minimum of senior academic standing.
