PHILADELPHIA- College football is a tough grind. Student-athletes have to balance a rigorous academic schedule with practices, workouts, and games.
It's even tougher when that player is a non-scholarship athlete. Not only does he have to balance all of this, but he also is paying for his education.
For walk-on players, it's rough. They have no promise of playing time and they have to work harder than anyone else on the team to get game time or earn alone receiving a scholarship.
However, three Temple walk-ons: grad student Todd Jones, grad student Chris Myarick and redshirt senior Rob Ritrovato, had the burden of paying for college lifted as they were put on scholarship.
