PHILADELPHIA – When Temple and USF kick off Saturday, it will be more than just the Owls' home opener of the 2020 football season; it will be the start of a new era for Temple and broadcast sports.
The game will be the first Temple telecast on ESPN+, which is an integral part of the American Athletic Conference's new 12-year media rights extension with ESPN. Under the agreement of the extension, hundreds of additional American Athletic Conference sports events annually will be distributed on the ESPN+ digital platform.
"Since the AAC and ESPN announced their partnership in 2019, we have been eagerly anticipating bringing Temple broadcasts to ESPN+," said Kevin Copp, Associate Athletics Director/Video Production.
