PHILADELPHIA – Despite adverse effects of a global pandemic, Temple University student-athletes continued their incredible record-setting pace in the classroom in the Fall 2020 semester. This time it was new fall semester records for combined grade point average (3.39), percentage of student-athletes over a 3.00 semester GPA (77.6%) and number of perfect 4.00 semesters (52).
It marks the fifth straight semester Temple student-athletes have earned over a 3.20 combined GPA, while being enrolled in 87 different academic majors. It is also the 18th straight semester grade point average above a 3.00.
"We are so incredibly proud of our student-athletes ability to not only adapt to this new learning environment, but to succeed at such a high level," said Temple University Acting Director of Athletics Fran Dunphy.
