PHILADELPHIA – Temple University mourns the loss of George DeLeone who passed away on March 1 at the age of 73.
DeLeone, a coaching veteran of over 50 years, had two stints as an assistant coach at Temple. He was originally on Al Golden's staff from 2006-07. During that time, he was the Owls' offensive coordinator and worked with the quarterbacks ('06) and offensive line ('07). In 2016, he rejoined the staff under Matt Rhule as run game coordinator / offensive line coach. The Owls won the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship that season.
