PHILADELPHIA - It is almost impossible to keep raising such a high bar of academic success, but Temple Athletics has managed to do it yet again as the department recorded a single-year Academic Performance Rate (APR) that ranks fourth in NCAA Division I among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institutions, and is now tied for seventh in multi-year APR.
The Owls' average single-year APR was 993, topped only by Notre Dame (999), Northwestern (997), and Stanford (995). After ranking 9th in multi-year APR among FBS institutions a year ago, Temple's average multi-year APR of 992 is now tied for seventh with Michigan and Cincinnati.
