Close games have been a near lock for the Owls in 2015 as they were 5-2 in games decided by one goal this season coming into Friday night’s game against John Carroll University.
The Owls’ history of coming up clutch was not enough against John Carroll as the Streaks outlasted Temple in a 7-6 overtime game at the Gilmour Academy Ice Arena.
The Streaks’ freshman forward Brady Wells scored the game-winner 1:18 into overtime and junior forward Kevin Vineyard tallied a goal and three assists in the win.
“We played well for having a seven-hour bus ride out there,” coach Roman Bussetti said.
