PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced its second round of cross country weekly honors in 2017 tand graduate student Marc Steinsberger was named Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 18. Steinsberger led Temple men's cross country to its second-straight team win of 2017 on Friday Sept. 15 at the Rider Invitational.
Steinsberger earned the individual title at Rider two years in a row. On Friday, he finished the men's 8K race in 24:56.11. The team's first place finish marked the first time since 2005 that the men's cross country program won its first two meets of the season.
