The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are releasing left tackle Donovan Smith, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The Bucs have discussed potentially moving All-Pro right tackle Tristan Wirfs to left tackle in 2023, sources have told ESPN.
The Buccaneers will save $7.95 million against their salary cap by releasing Smith.
The Buccaneers, who are approximately $55 million over the salary cap, also are expected to release tight end Cameron Brate, a source told Fowler last week.
Smith, 29, has started 124 games for the Buccaneers in his eight seasons with the team, including 13 last season.
