Owls top Binghamton 4–1

With last weekend’s two-game losing streak in the rearview, Seamus O’Connor wanted to make sure his team understood the importance of protecting home field against Binghamton University.

Although the Owls snapped their losing streak Friday with a 4–0 road win over the University of New Hampshire, the sting of the team’s home loss to Lehigh University on Sept. 6 still lingered in O’Connor’s mind Sunday.

“I think the girls were surprised how angry and fired up I was before the game because I just hate losing at home,” O’Connor said. “If we’re going to achieve our goals this year, nobody can come here and beat us and I’m still angry about losing last weekend even though we played great.
