Temple defeated East Carolina in straight sets Friday in Greenville, North Carolina. The Owls (24-8,15-5 American Athletic Conference) finished the regular season on a seven-match win streak.
The first two sets were tight for the Owls.
The squad won the first set, 25-21 after being tied 19-19 and won the second set, 25-23 after trailing 23-22.
“We just needed to control our play a little better,” coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam said. “I think we were able to get going in the third set. We hit correct balls with better touches and were able to get our offensive game going.
