If Temple had been in this situation last season, coach David MacWilliams is sure the team would have reacted differently.
After giving up a goal in the 19th minute into the team’s game against Northeastern University on Sunday afternoon, the Owls were faced with a decision – keep fighting and get the goal back, or lose confidence and fold.
Temple chose the first option, and after Jordan Wix-Rauch’s goal in the 44th minute tied the game, the Owls’ defense held solid for the majority of the second half. The game ended in a 1–1 draw in double overtime, Temple’s second double OT game of the weekend.
