UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- Courtney Williams scored 20 of her 22 points in the second half, Shalethia Stringfield finished with 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds and No. 20 South Florida beat sixth-seeded Temple 64-46, setting up a rematch of last season's American Athletic Conference championship game with No. 1 UConn.
USF, which will play the Huskies (31-0) on Monday night, closed out Temple on a 33-9 run.
Temple opened the second half on an 11-2 run for a 37-31 lead but South Florida ended the quarter on a 14-2 run, with 13 combined from Williams and Stringfield, for a 45-39 lead.
