PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After a 2-0 week for Temple men's basketball, who has won five straight, two Owls are being honored by the American Athletic Conference. Freshman J.P. Moorman II has been named Rookie of the Week for the first time in his career, while sophomore Quinton Rose was selected to the Weekly Honor Roll.
Moorman recorded his first career double-double with a career-high 11 points to go with a career-high 12 rebounds in the Owls' 90-73 win vs. ECU on Feb. 7. His points-rebounds double-double was the first by a Temple freshman since Lavoy Allen in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.
