PHILADELPHIA – The Wuerffel Trophy, College Football's Premier Award for Community Service, today announced its 93-player watch list. Temple quarterback Re-al Mitchell was among the group of student-athletes nominated for the prestigious award.
Throughout last season, Mitchell used his time off the field wisely, participating in a variety of community service events totaling over three dozen hours. Mitchell used this time to develop a relationship with Jaidyn from TEAM IMPACT, as well as participate in physical education classes with elementary school children with the Camden Promise Academy. Among many other community service events, Mitchell worked in conjunction with the Temple Police to service a block around campus as part of a cleanup effort.
