PHILADELPHIA – Facing its first Philadelphia Soccer Six opponent on a hot and humid Sunday afternoon, Temple men's soccer logged its second shutout of the weekend topping the Saint Joseph's Hawks 2-0. Sunday's win put the Owls at 2-0 as they closed out their first full weekend of play in the 2016 season.
"I'm very pleased with this weekend," said head coach David MacWilliams. "We played two very tough opponents in a high degree of heat on turf. I think it was two great results for us and I couldn't be happier."
The Owls fired off 10 shots in the first half without finding the back of the net.
