PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer (1-2-1) fell to Rider (2-1) in its home opener on Sunday night. The Owls fought a good fight, holding Rider scoreless until overtime, but faced sudden death with a little over six minutes left to play.
>Temple allowed just one goal after two full halves of scoreless play. In the 94th minute, Rider's Clement Bourret scored launching the ball right over Temple's goalkeeper with help from Pablo Decastro.
>The Broncs earned two corner kicks in the first half, two in the second, and one in overtime for a total of five compared to Temple's one.
