OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Temple men's crew team capped off a successful weekend with a great showing on day two of the 2016 Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Championships. Temple took home four total medals, including winning gold in the novice eight race.
Temple's novice eight's gold medal performance saw more than an eight second victory. The Owls finished in 6:12.42, ahead of second-place Delaware in 6:20.89. Temple also topped Purdue, Virginia, Notre Dame, and UNC in the race.
In varsity eight racing, Temple grabbed a silver medal. The Owls finished in 6:00.28, just off the pace of FIT who won the race in 5:57.
