HOUSTON – Temple will be looking to clinch a first-round bye when it travels to American Athletic Conference leader #14 Houston on Thursday (7 p.m./ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT).
The Owls (16-10, 9-6 AAC), which had their string of 13 straight seasons with a Top 25 scalp snapped in the Covid-shortened 2020-21 campaign, will also be looking for its first win over a ranked opponent since defeating #16 Wichita State on Jan. 15, 2020.
Temple will also be looking to snap a five-game losing streak in the series with Houston. The Owls last win in the series came on Jan.
