PHILADELPHIA -- Jeremiah Martin scored 26 points and Kareem Brewton Jr., hit a game-winning 3-pointer off a broken play and Memphis defeated Temple 75-72 in overtime Saturday, winning its first game on the road this season.
With time running out, Brewton appeared to pass from the wing to the low post, but the ball was deflected. Brewton chased the ball down and his turnaround 3 landed with no time showing on the clock, sending the Tigers (12-6, 3-2 American) onto the court in celebration. Brewton scored half of his 10 points in the last 1:16 of overtime.
