RALEIGH, N.C. – Sophomore Gary McCabe (72-73) shot a three-over 145 to lead Temple and tie for 42nd overall at the Wolfpack Spring Open Friday in the opening day of the two-day, three-round tournament held at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course at N.C. State. As a team, the Owls finished the first day tied for 14th place among the highly-competitive 16-team field.
Sophomore Trey Wren, who had led the Owls in three of their four spring tournaments, shot consecutive rounds of 74 to place second for the Cherry and White and tie for 55th with a six-over 148.
