PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore guard Marissa Mackins was named the Big 5 Player of the Week and earned a spot on the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after posting two 20-digit performances as the Owls finished the week with a pair of wins.
Mackins averaged 26.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals across two victories for Temple to earn the Big 5 Player of the Week title. The sophomore poured in a career-high 28 points at La Salle, where she made a career-best seven three-pointers. Mackins' 25-point effort at Tulsa landed her a spot on the conference's weekly honor roll.
