PHILADELPHIA -- After another solid week of play, two Temple women's basketball players were honored by the American Athletic Conference on Monday. Marissa Mackins was named Freshman of the Week while sophomore Mia Davis earned a selection to the conference honor roll.
Both Mackins and Davis helped the Owls to a 1-1 week with a win over Houston and a loss to #5 UConn.
Mackins averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 assists per game to earn her first ever Freshman of the Week honor. On Tuesday, she tallied 14 points with four assists and no turnovers in a win against Houston.
