PHILADELPHIA - Matching its highest goal total in over a year, Temple lacrosse cruised past Butler by a score of 19-7 for its fifth straight win. The Owls (12-2, 5-1), who got hat tricks from Carly Demato, Kira Gensler and Brenda McDermott, are a perfect 7-0 at home this season.
Butler (1-13, 0-6), a brand new program in 2017, got two goals apiece from Haley Hallenbeck and Journey Fischbeck as well as 12 total saves from its two goalkeepers.
The hat trick for Demato, who scored a game-high four goals, was her second straight.
