PHILADELPHIA - With an 8-0 run to close out the game, Temple lacrosse won its fourth straight, defeating visiting UMBC (4-2) 12-5 on a very brisk afternoon at Howarth Field. The Owls (6-1) started the run down a goal with 20 minutes remaining, and already had a four-goal lead with 10 minutes left.
"All season long we've had moments where we're chasing," said Temple head coach Bonnie Rosen. "This was a game that felt like it was just a matter of taking control...fortunately we're getting a little comfortable with being down at times, and it was very clear that if we could just clean a few things up, we might be able to take control and win the game.
