PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball forward Zach Hicks has been named the AAC Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday afternoon. This is the first conference nod this season for the freshman, who was also named Big 5 Player of the Week.
Hicks had a breakout performance against Delaware State, dropping a career-high 35 points to tie the school record for points by a freshman which was previously set by Mark Macon. He went 10-of-16 from behind the arc to set the school record for three-point field goals made, the most by a freshman since the 2018-19 season, and went 12-of-18 from the field.
