PHILADELPHIA - Temple redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Matt Hennessy was named to the 2018 Rimington Trophy Preseason Watch List. Hennessy was also named to its Spring watch list, honored as one of the best centers in the country.
Last season, Hennessy, as a redshirt freshman, started 12 of the Owls' 13 games, including their Gasparilla Bowl victory over FIU. Hennessy is one of 27 returning players to the watch list, and he was the only freshman named to the 2017 watch list.
A perfect blend of size, strength and intelligence, Hennessy leads the offensive line by making all the protection calls.
