PHILADELPHIA – Comcast SportsNet and The March of Dimes have announced that Tina Sloan Green, co-founder of the Black Women in Sport Foundation, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 6th Annual Shining Star Awards on Tuesday, January 12 at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing. Previous Lifetime Award recipients have been Ed Snider, Ed Rendell, Jimmy Murray, Sonny Hill and Andy Talley. Over the past five years, this event has raised over $1.2 million for the March of Dimes.
The gala dinner, hosted by Ron Burke, will honor Sloan Green for her extraordinary service to the Philadelphia sports community.
