Boston, Mass. - On Saturday, Temple women's gymnastics kicked off the 2018 season with a first place team finish and the highest season-opening team score in program history with a 194. 875. The previous season opener record was set last season with a 191.925 at Penn State.
Keys to the Meet
> The Owls took first place overall, besting New Hampshire (194.175), Maryland (194.1), and Towson (193.8).
> Overall, Temple scored 48.8 on the balance beam. Sophomore Whitney King earned the squad's highest score in the event with a 9.8.
> Temple's top floor exercise scorers of the evening were sophomore Jaylene Everett and freshman Tori Edwards.
