BOSTON— Temple women's gymnastics posted a season-best 194.700 at the Little Boston Invitational Saturday night. The Owls placed second behind No. 20 Penn State (195.150) and ahead of Towson (190.225). The meet was highlighted by two titles (vault and all-around) for Ariana Castrence.
Beam
> Temple started off the night on beam, tallying a 48.675 team score. This was the team's most-improved event from last weekend's competition, in which it scored a 47.050.
> Three Owls recorded career-bests on beam in Boston. Freshmen Taylor Newland and Ariana Castrence scored career-bests of 9.
