CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Temple Owls gymnastics team came up short to knocking off No. 26 North Carolina on Saturday night at Carmichael Arena, 195.425-195.600.
HOW IT HAPPENED
> Graduate student Faith Leary paced Owls on the floor with a 9.875, tying her with Elizabeth Culton of UNC for first place.
> The Tar Heels led throughout but the Owls chipped away at their counterparts lead after each last rotations on the night.
> The two teams split the four rotations. Temple would defeat the Heels on the bars, 48.
