AIKEN, S.C. – Temple Golf started slowly, but moved up to tie for 10th place after the first day of play at the 23rd Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Monday. The 15-team tournament, being held at the Palmetto Golf Club's par-70, 6,617-yard course, will conclude with 18 holes Tuesday.
Recapping the Day
> Temple's top golfer, Dawson Anders, started slow, bogeying his first hole and falling to six over par after 10. The junior captain then went five under the rest of the round, making four birdies and an eagle on the par 5 10th to close the opening round in a tie for 17th with a one-over 70.
