PHILADELPHIA – Temple Golf struggled out of the gate in the final round at the Cornell Invitational, but recovered over the back nine to finish sixth out of 15 teams in its opening tournament of the 2018-18 season.
Recapping the Day
- Redshirt senior John Barone, who started the day in second place at six-under, was five over after 15 holes. The Dunmore, Pa. native birdied the final three holes to finish tied for third among the 81 golfer field with a four-under 209.
- Barone finished the day with 16 birdies, the most in the field, while Temple, as a team, was tied for second with 46 birdies.
