PHILADELPHIA – Temple University freshman forward Arashma Parks had successful surgery on his right shoulder today. The surgery was performed by Temple's team physician, Dr. Milo Sewards, at Temple University Hospital.
Parks, who suffered the shoulder injury at practice on September 29, is expected to make a full recovery. There is no timeline for his return.
The Owls' lone freshman on the 2018-19 team, Parks averaged 11.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks as a senior at the Phelps School in Malvern, Pa in 2017-18. He shot 56 percent from the field, helping his team to a 21-12 record.
