PHILADELPHIA - The Maxwell Football Club today announced its Watch List for the 84th Maxwell Award presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Temple sophomore running back Re'Mahn Davis is one of 90 players on that list.
As a true freshman in 2019, Davis burst onto the scene leading the Owls in rushing with 936 yards and eight touchdowns on 193 carries. Those numbers all rank second among freshmen in school history to Bernard Pierce's outstanding 2009 season. Overall, his rushing yards ranked seventh in the American Athletic Conference and were the fifth best FBS mark among freshmen helping the San Francisco native to Freshman All-America honors by Pro Football Focus.
